Today is International Stress Awareness Day.
The event has been organised by the International Stress Management Association (ISMA): a registered charity whose aim is to advance the education of the public in the field of biological stress.
On their website, the ISMA say: "Stress can be an insidious build up of many pressures and challenges. Most people are now aware that the big issues in life can be exciting for some and too demanding for others, resulting in stress."
Working in a college or university can be very demanding. Many factors may influence the levels of tension in your working life, for example workload or job security. We know from being in contact with thousands of post-school education professionals every year just how stressful their lives can be.
Remember CUSN is always there to help, so if you or a colleague is feeling the effects of stress, remember our free, confidential services are available 24 hours a day, both over the telephone and online. You call us on 08000 32 99 52.
